What is fyndlr (and why we believe it's awesome)

People all over the planet lose stuff every second of every day. And it is a lot easier to lose something than to find it again. While we understand that not everything will be found, our goal is to make the recovery quicker, safer and more efficient. To accomplish this, we built web and mobile apps for people to post lost or found stuff at a specific geographic location. The user specifies a radius and other people nearby are alerted. fyndlr is very new and we would love to hear your feedback.

Where the idea came from

It isn't rocket science to think of a lost & found box. We see apps all the time for finding lost iPhones or dogs. Jessi was reading "iOS Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide" and there was an example about a lost dog... Instantly she wanted to help people with not just lost dogs, but people who have lost anything. We brainstormed for days and then got to work. After 4 months of blood, sweat and tears we shipped fyndlr version 1.0 for the iPhone and web!
